This policy explains what data Bufet Cubano ("we") collects on bufetcubano.com, what we use it for and the choices you have. We are a small business in Naples, Florida, and we never sell your data.
1. Data we collect
- When you leave a review: your name, phone number, email address, star rating and comment. If you tick the offers box, we also store that consent and its date.
- To stop spam we store an encrypted fingerprint (hash) of your connection, not your IP address, together with the date of the review.
- Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical data from every visit, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.
- If you message us on WhatsApp, that conversation is also governed by WhatsApp's (Meta's) privacy policy.
- When you accept the Terms, the Privacy Policy or our offers, we keep a record of that consent: what you accepted, the document version, the date and time (UTC), the form you used, the encrypted fingerprint of your connection and your browser type. It lets us show that you gave your permission.
We never ask for payment details or sensitive data such as Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers or health information on the website.
2. How we use it
- To publish your review. The website only shows your shortened name (for example, “Maria G.”), the stars, the comment and the date. Your phone number and email are never published.
- To keep our customer records and, if needed, contact you about your review or your order.
- To send you offers by email, only if you ticked the box and confirmed your address in the email Brevo sends you. Every email includes an unsubscribe link and our postal address.
- To prevent spam, fraud and misuse of the website.
We will not call you or send you marketing text messages without your express consent.
5. How long we keep it
We keep review data while it is useful for our customer records, or until you ask us to delete it. If you unsubscribe from offers, we stop sending them right away.
When we delete your data we keep only a minimal consent record (version, date and encrypted fingerprint, without your name, phone or email) so we can show how consent was given. Automatic backups are erased within 30 days.
6. How we protect it
The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The customer records are password-protected and only the Bufet Cubano team can see them. No system is 100% secure; if a breach affected your personal information, we would notify you as required by Florida law (Fla. Stat. § 501.171).
7. Your choices
- To see, correct or delete your data, or remove your review: message us on WhatsApp at (239) 692-5795. We may ask you to confirm it is you, for example by writing from the same phone number. We reply within a reasonable time, usually less than 30 days.
- To stop receiving offers: use the “unsubscribe” link in any email or ask us.
- If you live in California, these same steps let you review and request changes to your data, as provided by CalOPPA. We do not share data with third parties for their direct marketing.
8. Children
The website is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us data, let us know and we will delete it.
9. Links to other websites
The website links to WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, and shows videos from our TikTok profile. Those services have their own privacy policies, which we do not control.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the new version on this page with its update date. If the change is significant, we will announce it on the website.
Version 2026-10-16. We record which version each person accepted. Previous versions are available on request via WhatsApp.
